Tis' the Season!

Alexus just LOVES her Santa hat. Okay, not really. But how adorable does she look in it, i mean come on...??? In order to get this picture my mom had to hold a tub of cookies right next to the camera. Alexus is not looking at my mom or the camera, but she will not take her eyes off those cookies. What a little stinker.

For all the Batman Lovers!!

Last night i had a little get together to watch The Dark Knight! Marshall bought it for me Tuesday and i had to keep myself out of my house so that i wouldnt watch it before the little party. It was a good time. My grandma is adorable, i just love her! She is the grandma that would take us on the rides that would go upside down at the carnival because our parents never would, for example... The Ring Of Fire... yeah, not many grandmas on that ride. Anyways, she loves the batman movies and this was no different for her. I am sooooo lucky to have her as my grandma and i wouldnt trade her for anything in the world, i dont know what i would do without her and i cherish the time we get to spend together. Okay, back to the movie thing... We had a great group of people, not the best picture, i know but from left to right... AJ (Marshall's nephew), Kay ((Marshall's mom) i believe this is her blog debut), Grandma Debi (my mom), Brykelle (cousin #1), Kryshelle (cousin #2), and Grandma Bonnie. Oh, and Marshall came later but too late to be part of the picture, i hope he doesnt lose sleep over it.

Theres just something about him...

The other day Marshall and I went to Carrie's house to drop off Stone's birthday present. When we got there Stone had just woken up from his nap and he was cuddling Carrie. She wanted to show me something so we told Stone to sit on the couch and he clung to her and didnt want to go so she told him to sit with Marshall.... and he actually went to him!!! How adorable is this picture?!? Stone is usally pretty shy at first and both Carrie and I were amazed that he actually went. I had to grab a picture quick because we knew it wouldnt last. There is just something about Marshall that draws kids in, i dont know what it is but i love it!

My Christmas Flowers

These are the flowers that i got for December from that card Marshall bought from my cousin in October. Novembers sucked so i didnt post them and me saying that wont hurt Marshall's feelings because he agreed. But these ones are super cute!

Marshall's Birthday Extravaganza

Carrie & Jake

Marshall's birthday and Carrie's husband, Jake's, birthday are both on the 13th of December so we decided to celebrate them together. We went to dinner at the Red Rock in Salt lake and then to the Jazz game. It was super fun! Jazz won, of course, they actually destroyed the Raptors, but thats neither here nor there. Anyways, Marshall and Jake had a good time and thats all that matters.

Project!!

I have been decorating my new place and one of the most important items i needed was a coffee table. I didnt want to spend a hundred dollars on one right now so Marshall & I re-finished one that i bought off of craigs list. We painted it "crackle" it makes it look like its old an vintage. I think it turned out great, and i will be the first to admit that Marshall did all the work ;o).

Dover

Marshall & I finally made it to Wendover! He has been bugging me to go since February and we finally did. We didn't take the party bus like planned but we still had a great time. The bad part is... now he wants to go back! I knew this would happen. We broke even but everyone else in our party pretty much lost, so thats kinda sucky. Sorry i dont have pictures, it was a spur of the moment thing, literally, Josh and Tiffany called us at 7 and we were on the road at 8, so i forgot my camera.

The New Place

I have no idea what they call this place in the house, i have never used one before. Just kidding... I actually baked muffins last night, i felt so domestic.
The dining area

My friend Ashley from work gave me those words for my birthday. They stick on like stickers and it is super cute in my room. It says "Everyday holds a possiblity of a Miracle".

The room that holds the most precious gift... DVR (i need to get a grip, i know).

The living room with my homemade end table. It holds a drink quite nicely.

It came with the shower curtain so i just went with the black and white theme. Turned out pretty darn cute if you ask me.
Half of my room. Its actually pretty big and this picture makes it look tiny.

I finally found an apartment!!! The walls are kinda bare right now but i have only been there since Sunday, so don't worry, i got it covered. I have got big plans for this place ;o) My roommate and I get along GREAT so that relieves a lot of stress and the best part is... drum roll please... I have DVR!!! Its amazing! I dont know how i ever lived without it. This is bad though because now i dont know how i ever really will and its kinda a hard thing to justify. Last night i went through and set it to record all my favorite shows, plus some. I am totally pumped! The memory is going to be full in no time.

Marshall's Trip

Nick Kay, Marshall and his nephew Austin
Abby (Marshall's sister-in-law), Nick (his brother), Don (his dad), Marsh, & Jared (his younger brother)

This one is my fav.... oh boy, what a looker!

While I was in Hawaii, Marshall went back east to Buffalo, NY (his hometown) for his best friend (Matt's) wedding. Of course he didn't take his camera but his dad was there and he sent us a few pictures so i thought i would post them since he looked so handsome.

Climbing

By far the funnest part
I look like i have got everything under control

Marshall just shoots right up it. He makes it look so easy.

It's a lot more complicated than it looks

How pretty are those leaves?

One more thing that i would like to post about is an event that happened before i went on my trip to Hawaii. Marshall FINALLY got me to go rock climbing with him. It was his friend Josh's birthday and he wanted to go with his wife and us so after a lot of sweet talk i finally caved. And... it gets better... i actually tried climbing. I am not so great but i gave it my all and got a little ways up the wall. I thought it would be harder with fingernails but that was the least of my worries when i was slithering my way up the rock.

Hawaii

Carrie and i were conversating a few weeks ago and she mentioned that her and her little boy Stone were going to Hawaii for a week vacation in a few days, i asked her if i could go and she was pumped! So... alas... here are the pictures from our exciting adventure! I got sick the last half of the trip so we ended up coming home a day early but it was A-Okay, we had a great time while we were there!!!

Carving Pumpkins

Sorry it has been so long since i have posted. It seems as though i was doing so good then i just dropped of the face of the blog world. Well, dont worry, im BACK!!!!

Okay, starting us off...Marshall and I babysat his nephew a few weeks ago and to keep him entertained we carved pumpkins. I think they turned out fabulous!

My mother... the Comedian

About a month ago my mom was out running errands and she brought me home some doughnuts from the best doughnut place ever "Daylight Doughnuts". Ever since that day, whenever she comes home from running errands i ask her where my doughnut is, as a joke. Well, she came to me the other day and said "don't you have something you would like to ask me"? I said yeah, where is my doughnut, and she presented me with this big box. I told her i only needed one and she said there is only one in there and she walked off snickering. When i open the box i was astonished at how big this doughnut was. She yelled from the other room "that should shut you up for a while" It was at least 2" deep and 7" wide. HUGE! I took the picture with the box, a normal 12 dozen doughnut box, so you can see how big this monsterous thing really was. She cracks me up!

Fall Flowers

Marshall bought this card from my cousin for a fund raiser she was doing for the PGHS cheerleaders. What it is, is each month you get a bouquet of flowers from a local florist. You just take the card in and each month is something different. Well, it started in October and this was the bouquet i got. I LOVE daiseys, they are my favorite flower, but more specifically, daiseys with white pedals and a yellow center. Love them. Anywho... this is the "assorted daisey arrangement" i think they are cute and i love fresh flowers in my room, it really brightens my day. Marshall is so cute when it comes to things like this. He gets me flowers at the most random times and i love him for it. When we were at my cousin Kryshelle's house for her birthday and Brykelle (my other cousin) presented the card to him he didnt even hesitate, i think it was because he knows how much i love getting flowers. And I mean come on, how many girls do you know that get flowers EVERY month from their signifigant other? So 2 thumbs up for Marshall! I can't wait to see what November's flowers are ;o)

The End

So, i have gotten a few questions about how the epilation turned out. One word... FABULOUS!!! I love love love it! I have successfully done my entire legs, my arms (not all the way, i just wanted to look less like a gorilla but not look like i shaved my arms. It was a success), and well, now my armpits. I think the pits were the most painful... I figured out a few techniques that helped. 1. pull the skin tight for better results. 2. dont use the protective head, go raw baby it works a ton better. 3. It hurts less if you do it in the tub or shower. So, after that is said. It is nearly impossible to do your armpits alone because they cave in. Well, my mom got selected to be my lucky helper. She would pull the skin tight while i epilated. She is funny. She kept getting sick to her stomach because she could feel my skin pull a little as it was plucking. Then she almost started crying because she didnt like to see me in so much pain, even though it was totally self conflicted. She is adorable. Well, we finished successfully, it took about 30 minutes, and i paused a TON because it hurt so so so bad. But it looks great and we will see how they grow back. I am excited about the epilator now, i will probably never go back to a razor on my legs. We will see about the armpits later, depending on how much grows back and how quickly ;o).

Let the Good Times Roll

This weekend my friend Gabby was in town so we decided to get together for a good old game of bowling. Now, i have not bowled since i was about 12 and i used bumpers so my game started off rough but i made it up in game 2. I learned some important things from our fun filled night of bowling... 1- Marshall was on a bowling league in high school. ha ha ha... its okay, you can laugh with me, its funny, 2- Brandon is the worst bowler i have ever seen and 3 - the walk back to your seat after you bowl has got to be at least a mile... it seems like forever and the whole time your thinking... what do i do, what do i do? make a joke? smile? hurry and hope no one is looking (although they always are). I think it is the bowling version of the walk of shame, even if you did awesome. Does that make any sense? Just check out the pictures...

Oh... the picture that has the caption of "Marshall stepping up to the plate", that is Brandon, not Marshall. Unfortunatly, i didnt save the slide show so i cant edit it without re-doing it and i really dont feel like doing it over again. If you will notice, Marshall and Brandon are both in white shirts and Gabby and I are both in purple shirts... it was not planned, i swear.

6 QuArKs

I have been tagged by my friend Kathy! I need to list 6 quirks about myself but I decided that since I am not the sole owner of this blog, I am going to list three about myself and three about Marshall, to even out the score a little bit...

Jennifer's Quarks...
1* Everyone who knows me has been effected by this and it is something that i am afraid i cannot control. I have "shaking leg syndrome". My leg constantly shakes, rapidly and steadily. Its very annoying. I don't realize i am doing it until someone points it out. So i suggest not sitting in chairs in front of me because i like to put my foot on the little bar at the bottom of chairs and it is all down hill from there. But in my defense, i think it is genetic! My mom does it as bad, if not worse than me, her sister does it and my older brother Zach does it. SO DEAL WITH IT!!!!

2* Eggs. This will puzzle Marshall for as long as he lives i believe. He is absolutely flabbergasted by how i like my eggs. He tells everyone, looking for support... and... he usually gets it. Okay, so, if i am eating my eggs scrambled i eat the whole egg, if i am eating a hard boiled egg i only eat the white, the yolk grosses me out. If i am eating egg to dip i only dip in the yolk and i cannot stand to eat the white. Its a little weird... i know, that's why it made my top 3 quarks.

3* I live my life by the ever so powerful sticky note. I have them everywhere! On the back of my phone, on my ipod on my steering wheel, on my planner, on my light fixtures, around my computer monitor, just everywhere! I love crossing this off of a list and i must have a list to remind me to do things so this is the solution. When i need to do something i write it on a sticky note and put it in the most appropriate place. For example, i needed a hair appointment in October so i wrote a note that said "call Polly" and stuck it to the receiver of the phone in my office. She works a weird schedule and i have to be sure to call when she is there. Well, sure enough, i called and made the appointment. I of course remove it when i am finished with whatever it said but it is typically replaced with a new one shortly.

Marshall's Quarks...
1* He absolutely cannot stand the sound of a bag crinkling. If we eat chips we MUST put them in a bowl and not eat them out of the bag or he will go insane. It is like nails on a chalk board for him. It cracks me up because his nephew is constantly eating chips and he will carry around the bag of Doritos for hours eating one at a time... the look on Marshall's face is priceless every time.

2* He cannot sleep with any sort of cover tucked in! He has to have just his comforter and a sheet and he HATES HATES HATES touching just the comforter. The order must be the sheet then the comforter and never anything different. None of which can be tucked in. And then he complains that he wakes up in the middle of the night and his covers are on the floor... go figure.

3* This kid checks Steep and Cheap and Whiskey Militia at least 50 times a day!!! They are web sites that have deals on them for nice stuff, like The North Face, Marmot, Volcom, DC, etc. They change the item they are posting every 10 or 20 minutes, or somethings more or less, just depending on how fast it sells out. It is the FIRST thing he does when he wakes up in the morning, then he will check again before he leaves for work, check when he gets to work, check on any break he can get, check on my work computer when he comes for lunch, check when he gets to school, check when class is over, check when he gets home from class, check during the homework process, and it is most definitely the last thing he does before he goes to bed. It is the next best thing to gambling i suppose. He is heavily addicted and it is a very expensive addiction!

I am going to tag... Melissa H., Jenn K., Carrie G., and Tiffany A.

Whoop Whoop

Tickets go on sale Monday the 29th! I will be there!!!

Camping Excursion

Marshall & his nephew AJ getting ready for a wheeler ride
Marshall and his nephew Logan. That sweater is adorable!
Marsh and I on our 4-wheeler ride. I thought this would make the perfect background for the picture, and it did. Not to toot my own horn, but.... toot toot. Isn't it beautiful?!?

This weekend Marshall and I went camping with his mom, Larry and his nephew AJ. His brother Nathan, his wife Jenn and their baby Logan came up on Saturday to join the fun. Friday night we roasted marshmellows, but someone (AJ) left the bag to close to the fire so it was one giant marshmellow instead of little ones. I wasnt about to touch that sticky mess but AJ just bear clawed the whole bag, it was a mess!! Then Saturday we went for 4-wheelin' and just hung out. It was a good time. It is probably the last time we will go this year, it is getting pretty cold. We are planning trips down south to Moab and Arches but its warmer there so that doesn't count.
