Welcome Home

Yesterday when I got home from work I found this...(sorry for the shadow)
Now, the fact that it proves how awesome of a husband I have is great and all, but it is not my favorite part. I specifically like the little animal drawing (possibly a sheep or perhaps a really fat dog) under the last sentence and above all else I love the signature! How cute is he?!? I just wanted to squeeze his guts when he got home.

Jazzin' the place up!

The school Marshall works at is EXTREMELY old and outdated. His classroom is no exception but he tries to liven the place up as much as he can. Cool bulletin boards, A map quilt my mom made him of the United States and some other minor tweeks. Moral of the story... he has 4 bookcases that hold books that he doesn't use and they had some old plaid curtains that were super dirty and just a giant eye sore. So for my project over the Christmas break I decided to make new ones. We did a little hunting for fabrics that were pertinent to what he teaches and came up with these...Obviously the Jazz one has nothing to do with school but we just couldn't help ourselves. The other one is a math one and there are 2 more, one with a road map and land marks such as Niagra Falls, National Forests, etc. and the last one is a history one with Christopher Columbus, ships and stuff like that. They turned out really great and he says that his kids just LOVE them!

The big "ONE"

For our anniversary this year we decided to take a little trip...

We rented a cabin in Bear Lake...Rented a couple snowmobiles...Did a little snow shoeing...And had an absolutely amazing time!My thoughts on marriage: Marriage = super awesome! I am quite enjoying it. I found that we argued more when we were dating than since we have been married but that could be due to the fact that we dated for a super long time so maybe we got out the majority of our big debates then, who knows. All in all, although busy, 2010 was one of my favorite years. We did so much amazing stuff and experienced so many new and fun things that it is going to be hard to top in 2011... but I am sure going to try my hardest ;o)

Top 5 "You have GOT to be kidding me" moments of 2010

5. When I washed something green with my whites batch that included but was not limited to: 5 brand new undershirts of mine, 4 brand new undershirts of Marshall's and a brand new package of Marshall's socks. Needless to say, I was mad for a very long time!

4. Waking up Thanksgiving morning with frozen pipes when we were due to host.

3. Having to dig out a 400 LB snowmobile out of 5 feet of fresh powder right after it started getting dark.

2. When our new neighbors informed us that Lequita and Barnard had gotten loose, pooped on their porch and they found their 1 year old eating it!

And drum roll please.... the #1 "You have got to be kidding me" moments of 2011 is...

1. Having to fly home to the states and leave my husband in Venice on the last day of our flippin' honeymoon. Yeah, it pretty much sucked super bad!
