EvErYbOdY just LOVES spring...
I have never talked to anyone and them said "ewe yuck, spring"! It is just a great time of year, flowers, the sun, rain, warmth and SpRiNg ClEaNiNg!! That is what has been going on at the Kay house for flipping week now! We are taking it slow, one room at a time (I do all the rooms WITHOUT blinds first). I made Marshall a deal, I told him I would do the entire house if he did the garage, the storage room and... the dreaded kitchen. To my surprise he took his task quite seriously and is making our kitchen completely dust free! He took everything out of every cupboard and wiped it down and put it back, cleaned out the appliances and even requested that I pick a few special cleaners up for him. We hope to be done by Friday but I still have the master bed/bath & closet & the living room, which Marsh already said he would do the floors for and that that gonna be the worst part so YAY! I will be VERY glad to welcome spring after this part is done. Gotta get this crap outta the way so we can start our summer projects!!

Viva Las Vegas!!
Marshall's lacrosse team had a tournament in Las Vegas last weekend and the parent rep for the team let him know that he would have his own room so if his wife wanted to come she was more than welcome... um... YEAH, SHE DOES!!!! So I took a half day Thursday and we tried to get out of the house around 4 but that turned into 6 so we didn't get there until about 1 in the morning but the minute we stepped out of the car it was a burst of refreshment!! The cool crisp air, clear sky and no white powdery stuff on the ground!
Friday we slept in til noon then went SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING!! We went to a strip mall just south of the strip and I fell in LOVE with the place. It was way clean, had a Tuscany feel to it and had seriously GREAT stores! We got lunch at a little Mexican restaurant and we sat out in the cabana for the afternoon. It was mid 70s, so I had a light jacket but it was BEAUTIFUL! Marshall had a game from 8-10 so after his game with hit up the strip. It was a blast!
Saturday I slept in while Marshall was at games. I met him at the filed around noon, we got some lunch and he had about a 3 hour break so we hung out. I tried to catch some rays while reading and watching his last game. We left Vegas at about 7:30 Saturday night and got home around 1:30 and passed right out!
It was so nice to take a break from all the craziness that has been going on lately, not to mention the great weather we were lucky enough to enjoy! We had so much fun together and now all we can talk about is the next trip we wanna take.

My V-Day gift
Our house is really coming along nicely. Our room is all color coordinated with matching furniture and decor, all but this...
I have been using a vanity to get ready ever since I can remember and I don't think I can go back to getting ready in the bathroom, even if it meant having this GIANT eyesore in our bedroom. This is even better than before, I just got that wicker basket drawer set, it used to be those white and clear rubbermaid drawers...Yikes!
Well, Marshall found this bad boy and surprised me with it for Valentines Day!
SO SO SO much better!!! And I have re-upholstered the bench since taking these pictures so it is black as well.
Now if I could only figure out an alternative to that basket of products...
