The school Marshall works at is EXTREMELY old and outdated. His classroom is no exception but he tries to liven the place up as much as he can. Cool bulletin boards, A map quilt my mom made him of the United States and some other minor tweeks. Moral of the story... he has 4 bookcases that hold books that he doesn't use and they had some old plaid curtains that were super dirty and just a giant eye sore.
So for my project over the Christmas break I decided to make new ones. We did a little hunting for fabrics that were pertinent to what he teaches and came up with these...
Obviously the Jazz one has nothing to do with school but we just couldn't help ourselves. The other one is a math one and there are 2 more, one with a road map and land marks such as Niagra Falls, National Forests, etc. and the last one is a history one with Christopher Columbus, ships and stuff like that. They turned out really great and he says that his kids just LOVE them!
