So graceful
I think this is the picture i took right after his triple toe loop.
They decided to have a competition to see who could slide the furthest on their back, stomach or butt. Marshall did not do to well, especially considering he is not wearing a slippery coat.
We went ice skating on Friday night at My Noah's in Lindon. It was so much fun. When we first put on the skates we were sliding everywhere and very unsure of ourselves but once you get the hang of it you are golden. We were putting together a figure skating routine by the end of the night and might is say that we would have taken home the gold!

Per the request of my "viewers"...
Whabam!!! It's a beauty isn't it?!? Marshall didn't want me to wear the wedding band until we were married but I like it better with both of them (duh, more diamonds is ALWAYS better in my book) Anyways... after debating about it for 10 minutes he finally told me that he would trade me for half of my quesadilla. DONE.
The Proposal...
Marshall suggested that we start looking at rings a few weeks ago. We went to Sierra West and within 30 seconds i found the one that i wanted. I knew it was the one. So we started to look at diamonds and i found a one carat that was fabulous and it fit within my "budget" so i told Marshall that when he was ready that it was the one for sure. So the next day Marshall told me that he was ready and he went and got it but it would be a week or so until i had it. A week rolls around (the longest week of my life) and it isnt ready but the jeweler said it would be done by Monday for sure. I was not happy. So on Monday Marshall calls me from the store and says that i am not going to be happy but it still isnt done and he is on his way over. He shows up about 20 minutes later with 3 red, long stem roses. He has a stone cold look on his face and he says, i am so sorry Jenn, i feel so bad. My heart sank to my feet, i was so bumbed out. So he hands me the roses and he had stuck the ring on the stems, so when he moved his hand... BAM, there it was and he full on asked me. I took the ring off and it was NOT the diamond i had picked out, it was an even BIGGER one!!! We had looked at it but i knew it was way out of my price range so i said i didnt like it and he must have called my bluff. I asked him how he knew that is the one i wanted and he said "Jenn, you would'nt of even had to be there for me to know it was the one you wanted". Busted. Anyways... he is adorable and i love love love the ring, everytime i look at it i think of what a big sacrifice he made to get it for me. I will never forget excatly how i felt when he put it on my finger.

Good Times People... Good Times
This weekend Chris was in town from New York (he goes to school there). He is Marshall's best buddy... in Utah... Anyways, Chris' lady "friend" came out as well to meet the fam. and stuff so we all decided to go out. We went to dinner at the Bombay house and then decided to go the Owl Bar at Sundance. Carrie & Amandah met us up there and it was so much fun! I felt like we had all been the best of friends forever... oh man, good times were had. Well, they were making fun of me for having a blog and yadie yadie yada... then they were laughing at a name that Chuckie (Chris) calls Marshall and I... Marshafer, he has called us that for a couple years now and he is so proud of himself for thinking of it. Anyways, he made me promise to make it the title of my blog, an alas, i am a woman of my word.

2009 New Years Resolutions
They say to write them down and this seems to be a suitable place, so here it goes...
1. Do not skip more than one night per week brushing and flossing (its the latter i have a probelm with)
2. Save more money, be more cautions on spending
3. Read one book per month
4. Fix one nice cookbook dinner per month (its time to expand my horizon)
5. Do a pilates video at least once a week

A Couple a Nuts Crackin Nuts
He was pumped when he got a whole nut out. They usually break in at least 2 pieces and he got the entire thing out unharmed. They look a lot like a brain when you get them out whole.
Marshall is always so good to help out. He tells my mom every summer that when she buys corn to call her and he will help her husk it. He helped her once and apparently really enjoyed himself. So my mom's aunt Judy has a walnut tree in her orchard and she gave my mom a laundry basket FULL of walnuts that needed to be cracked and de-shelled. We used to crack the walnuts as kids. We usually used a hammer and did it in our basement "food storage/paint room". It has a concrete floor so it was easy to whack the nutts on. Of course, when Marshall saw the walnuts he insisted on helping my mom. She likes the QT to i think.
I Found My Calling in Life...
Marshall & I were watching TV at my house Friday night and he started freaking out saying that his hair was driving him crazy. He kept groaning and flipping around on the couch. I kept reminding him to go get one but he never did and it lead to him having a little episode this weekend. So anyways, he decided that he was so desperate that he wanted to go to his mothers and have me buzz it. Now, i have NEVER done this before, you can probably tell by the concentration on my face in the pictures, and it came out pretty darn jazzy!
